An inventory of historical climate data and climate projections for the Canadian North (Opens in a new Window)
This collaborative report presents the work done by the Northern Climate Data Working Group Phase I, which was created in December 2020 by the Canadian Centre for Climate Services with researchers and scientists from a wide range of universities and organizations. The report constitutes a large inventory of datasets that can be useful for future development of climate products to support climate-change adaptation decision-making in the Canadian North. Datasets for meteorological, snow, hydrology, sea ice, and permafrost variables were analyzed for the historical period and for future projections. The main information is presented in the form of tables with links to websites and descriptive documents, many of which are attached as annexes. The Phase II of the Working Group has transformed the inventory presented in this report into an online searchable database (https://nordata.physics.utoronto.ca/en/) A PDF copy of this report is available upon request. Archive Manual Snow Survey Data (Opens in a new Window)
The Archive Manual Snow Survey dataset contains the archived snow pack level manual observations from across British Columbia. Manual snow survey sites are actively surveyed as part of the BC Snow Survey program. Manual snow surveys are conducted up to eight times per year around the beginning of every month from January through June with extra measurements at mid-month in May and June. Other attributes in the dataset include: site number, survey period, elevation (m) and percent of normal. Data are available for download in tabular format.

The Arctic Portal is a comprehensive gateway to Arctic information and data on the internet, increasing information sharing and co-operation among Arctic stakeholders and granting exposure to Arctic related information and data. The interactive map allows user to select and view specific layers of climate variables, including boreholes, permafrost classification, permafrost extent, details on the active layer, sea ice extent, and historical climate. Additionally, static maps of sea ice, flora and fauna are available for download.

The BC Water Resources Atlas is an iMapBC application with enhanced functionality to display detailed water related data, including watersheds, water quantity and quality monitoring sites, aquifers, water wells and flood protection works. This tool presents raster data for a variety of layers.

Climate Data within the Eco-System Account (Opens in a new Window)
Climate Data within the Eco-System Account provides weather station data at the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual resolution for Newfoundland. Daily values of minimum, maximum and average temperature, as well as rainfall, snowfall and total precipitation are also available. Historical data are available as point and polygon data.

Climate Explorer (Opens in a new Window)
The Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium's (PCIC) Climate Explorer Tool generates maps, plots and data describing projected future climate conditions for the Pacific and Yukon Region. Climate variables include temperature, precipitation, and humidity. It uses an ensemble of more than 15 Global Climate Models (GCM) and combinations of emissions scenarios provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Users can generate custom maps, plots and data projected to the 2020s, 2050s, and 2080s.

Climate Impacts and Outlook (Opens in a new Window)
The Climate Impacts and Outlook resource offers a snapshot of recent weather events and anomalies, regional weather impacts on ecosystems and economic sectors, and a forecast for the coming three months displayed through static maps. Historical and future data are available as point, grid and polygon data. Regional impacts and outlooks are available from 2014 to 2017. Current conditions and forecasts of temperature, precipitation, drought, stream flow, winter weather, and ocean conditions are available.

CLIMOD 2 (Opens in a new Window)
CLIMOD2 (Climate Information for Management and Operational Decisions) allows for retrieval and presentation of climate data from one or more stations in the Eastern Atlantic. Historical data are available as point data. Available climate products include daily data for a month, daily degree days, calendar day summaries, and daily/normal graphs. Data could be appended in a graphical or tabular time series.

Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) Mapping Canada is an interactive map that links to historical observations of precipitation, snow fall, snow fall water equivalent, snow depth, and snow depth water equivalent at various stations across North America. Users can use the interactive map to select individual station reports and data. Data is available in mapped and tabular formats.
